Easter Sunday

Happy Easter Sunday!

Today we had Chris and Amber Huntington, and Chris and Kerri Bell over for sunday dinner. I made a roast, mashed potatoes, stuffing, jello salad, normal salad, bread, and steamed carrots and broccoli, and for desert I made peach cobbler. I'm pretty proud of it because I don't usually cook.

It was so fun having everyone there. We had a great time talking and laughing, and I know that sounds cheesy, but we did talk and laugh a lot. Daniel had to work at 6, so dinner couldn't last too long.

I wish that I had taken pictures, but alas, writting it will have to suffice :)

Now, I know that I've spent a lot of time talking about me, but that's not what today is about. Today, Easter, is about Christ's Resurection. Through the Atonement Christ suffered for my sins. He felt every pain that I have ever felt, or ever will feel so that when I experiance them I can turn to him, knowing that he trully knows my pain. Then Christ was crucified, and died for me. Christ, my elder brother, loved me so much, that instead of giving into the pressure around him and telling people what they wanted to hear, he stood firm to the truth, and died for me. Three days later he rose agian, making it possible for me to live again with my Heavenly Father and with my elder brother Christ. He suffered so much pain and suffering, and he was thinking of me. He wanted me to make it. He had enough faith in me and in my ability to progress and to choose the right that he suffered and died for my sins so that I could repent and do better every day. I am so eternally grateful for Christ's sacrifice, and am so grateful to have this Easter sunday set aside to remember him. I love the Lord, and am grateful to be a member of his church and to have his truths and his gospel. He makes me want to be better every day.

Here are a couple of youtube videos that I've been seeing on facebook that I love:
