Wednesday, May 4th:
We left our apartment around noon on Wednesday. We went up to Farmington and spent some time with my Grandma Tate. She took us to lunch, then we went back to her house and Grandma and I talked for a while, and Daniel took a nap (he worked the night before).
Then Daniel and I headed up to the Hill Air Force Museum. Every time we drive up to visit Stacee and Frank we pass it, and Daniel wants to stop there, so we finally did.
Then we picked Frank up from work (his car was in the shop) and headed up to Willard to stay with his family for the night.
Thursday, May 5th
Our plan had just been to stay Wednesday night and head up to Boise on Thursday, but we ended up having so much fun with them that we stayed Thursday.
We spent the morning filling water balloons, and when Frank got home from work we played Water balloon Baseball :)
We headed up to Boise around 1, after we had lunch and played Dominion with Frank and Stacee.
We didn't get up to Deanna's place till 7, so we pretty much ate dinner, played a little bit with the kids, and went to bed.
Saturday, May 7th
PAUL + KELLIE= MARRIAGE
Paul and Kellie got married in the morning. We had the fortune of going to the Temple ceremony. Then we got to take picture with Mr. and Mrs. Bartholomew :)
To kill time between the Temple and the luncheon we went to the mall with our friends, and ended up getting lost on our way there and back because none of us were from Boise :p
The luncheon was at Carino's Itallian Resturant, and was great! :)
Daniel and I weren't able to stay for the reception because we had a 9 hour drive ahead of us and didn't want to start that drive at 10 at night after the reception had ended and we had been able to pack up and leave. We headed out around 5 (the luncheon ended at 3, then we went home packed up and took a little nap). I drove the first half while it was still light out side, and Daniel drove while it was dark. We had to pull over an hour before we got home because we were so tired. We got to Bellevue at 1 in the morning.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
Church was at 11 in the morning, but I was so happy to be home (even with so little sleep) I got up at 7 or 8. My family has remodeled the bathrooms and the kitchen so I spent time looking around and making breakfast. Daniel and I had stoped in Pendelton half why through our drive and gotten my mom flowers and breakfast for mother's day (the kitchen isn't totally done, so you can't use the stove, so that ment not the usual pancakes and eggs).
That night we had Family Home Evening and Daniel and I taught my family how to play Dominion, which is like our new favorite game :)
Monday, May 9th
Our 10 Month Anniversary!
I went shopping with my mom in the morning thinking it would just be a fun trip because we needed to make a few returns and find things to wear for our family pictures. We ended up decided to "stop by" a couple of granit yards where mom is thinking of buying the granit for the kitchen. We spent a couple hours at 2 of them. Then went to J.C. Penny's for about a half hour (I found a cute sweater for pictures) and then we went back and bought the granit mom wanted. It was a lot of time at the granit wearhouses! :p
Tuesday, May 10th
Daniel and I got up in the morning and spent a couple of hours working in the front yard with my Dad. He's digging up the whole lawn so that he can re plant it. I guess the lawn was pretty much moss, and Dad didn't like that.
After working for a while we had lunch, then Daniel and I convinced my mom to come hiking with us up to rattle snake ridge. I'd never hiked it before. It was fun and I was glad that Mom came with us :) (Although I got really sore after the hike)
Wednesday morning Daniel and I went to the temple with my parents. :) It was the first time that we had been back to the Seattle Temple since we got married in July last year. We even got to visit the room that we were married in. It was so great getting be with my family in the temple!
Thursday, May 12th
In the morning we decided to go to the zoo. There is a zoo just a couple minutes from our house, and a zoo in Seattle, but we decided to go to the zoo that is an hour away because it's a zoo and an aquarium. It's called the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium. I was really sceptical at first because walking around just looking at animals doesn't sound too fun to me, but when we finally got there I got really excited and I was glad we went :)
That night we celebrated our one year anniversary. Now, don't worry, we know that we've only been married for 10 months, but for our anniversary we really wanted to stay at the bed and breakfast that we had stayed at our wedding night, and that's in Washington. For our real anniversary we'll be in Utah, and we'll be in the middle of school, so we decided to celebrate the way we originally wanted to, with our wedding cake top and everything. Last time we were there we didn't get there till really late in the evening because our reception went late, so this time we made sure to get there really earlly so that we could go exploring. The B&B is kind of on a cliff over looking the river, so we climed down to the river to explore. It was a lot of fun... untill the bugs started eating us alive.
Friday, May 13th
Happy Friday the 13th!
After Daniel and I left the B&B we stopped by Snoqualmie Falls. We'd already been there before so we didn't spend too much time, but we wanted to check it out.
That night we went to my sister's school musical: Mulan. My sister was one of the ancestors. It was a really cute and funny play.
Saturday, May 14th
Saturday morning was Daniel's third morning helping my dad with the front lawn. I only helped once. Oops.
For lunch Daniel and I met Brian Hitchner at Panera. Panera is were we do lunch every time we get together (by we I mean Brian Hitchner, Melissa Pighin, and myself). It was fun to see Brian.
After lunch I met up with lianna at Starbucks and we just talked for about an hour. It was great to catch up with her.Sunday, May 15th
In the morning we went to church with my family. That afternoon we tried to take family pictures, although it was kind of difficult because it was raining all day. We had wanted to go into the forest behind us, but the weather didn't permit that, so we just stood on our deck with a pretty background of trees. That evening we played games (Dominion, Nertz, and Shanghi)
Monday, May 16th
I bought a new phone in the morning! I've been wanting to get a new phone for almost a year now, but couldn't do it with out my parents.
Dad had the car for the day, so we took mom shopping for a gift for Christie (we didn't find anything), then we went to Costco, and took mom out to lunch at Red Robin.
Tuesday, May 17th
Happy Birthday Christie!!
Today was Christie's 14th birthday.
In the morning Daniel and I went shopping for a gift for Christie, and we picked up our wedding album which was finally done.
That evening we celebrated Christie's birthday with cookies, she didn't want a cake.
Then Daniel, Christie and I went on a walk together.
Wednesday, May 18th
We started our journey back to Utah. We left Washington at 11, and arrived in Boise to stay with Daniel's sister Deanna at 8. That was pretty much the whole day. We stayed up for a little bit talking to Deanna and Erik, but went to bed at 10: 30.
Thursday, May 19th
We left Boise around 11:30 and got to Willard, UT at 4 to stay with Daniel's brother Frank.
Frank and his family took us out to eat for dinner. Yummy! Then we stayed up playing games like we always do when we visit them :) We love visiting Frank and Stacee.
Friday, May 20th
We spent the day watching Ethan and Leah while Frank was at work and Stacee ran errands. It was really fun, and really relaxing which was a perfect way to end our vacation!
That night we all had a movie night and Frank and Stacee's house.
Saturday, May 21st
We left Frank and Stacee's house at noon and got home around 2!
It was a great vacation!! :D
