End of Summer Term, and Backpacking Vacation

Daniel and I finished our summer term finals on Wednesday the 10th. Daniel worked Wednesday and Thursday, then had seven days off of work, not because he requested them, but just because his boss gave them to him, yay! So Friday afternoon we drove down to Meadow. Monday morning Kimberly died my hair a beautiful dark red. I love it! My highlights had grown out too much and I was ready for something new.

Monday afternoon Daniel and I left for a three day backpacking trip in the mountains by Meadow.

Day one we hiked for three hours, pretty much all up hill. It was hard, but fun. We crossed the stream 3 times. Then found a great place to camp. Daniel built a fence because there were animal bones behind our tent, and we didn't want other animals coming to check out our tent after they checked out the bones.

Day two we hikes for two hours, pretty much all up hill. At one point we had to take our shoes off and cross the stream. It was so cold! The camp site we found for that night was so beautiful!

The third day we woke up at 7 and left by 830. It took us 30 minutes to get down the day two hike, and it took 1 hour to get down the day one hike. We were really booking it.

It was a great hike and we're so glad we got to go :)
