My mom is in town this week to help me get ready for baby Connor to come. On Monday night, mom, Daniel and I went to visit my Uncle Russ and Aunt Linda. We had dinner with them, then joined them for family home evening, which is a night that we set aside once a week to spend quality time with our families. Aunt Linda showed us that she had written her personal history, but told us that she wished she remembered more that just a timeline of things that happened. She then pulled out an activity for us, where we wrote down 10 things that we love. Of course it's easy to write down people we love and blessings we are grateful for, but Aunt Linda wanted us to write things that really described who we are. She has made a list of 100 things she loves. I decided to record my list of 10 things I love. They are in no particular order.
1) I love when Daniel turns on music and asks me to dance
2) I love chocolate! 3 Musketeers is my favorite candy. There is something about eating delicious chocolate that makes me happy inside.
3) I love reading my scriptures on Sundays. There is something about reading on Sundays that makes it even more special that when I read the rest of the days of the week.
4) I love walking or jogging on the beautiful green trails behind my parents house. It feels so peaceful and I can't keep my eyes off the beauty!
5) I love to read food murder mystery books. They're really toned down murder mysteries, and they always include food recipes.
6) I love roller coaster rides.
7) I love water. I love being in the water, playing in the water, being near water, looking at water. When I say water I mean bodies of water, like waterfalls, lakes, and rivers.
8) I love holding Daniel's hand. I am always happy when I am holding his hand, and I know that he is near me.
9) I love spending time with my mom. Even if we're just sitting on the phone in silence, I still like knowing she is there if I have anything to say. I hate to hang up the phone when I call her, and I hate to say good night or good bye when I am with her.
10) I love feeling like I'm doing my duty as a wife. Now that I am graduated, I can actually cook and clean and remember to ask Daniel how his day went, and I love it.
