Connor's baby blessing was this past weekend. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints, we don't baptize our children until they are 8 years old and they can choose for themselves if they want to be baptized. But when they are babies we do give them a blessing. Daniel stood in a circle with his brothers, his dad and my dad, and held Connor and gave him a blessing. It was a very sweet prayer. The words that were said were amazing, and Daniel and I wrote about it in our journal to Connor. But the words weren't the only sweet thing that happened during the prayer.
Connor was really fussy since we got to Meadow. It might have been the new environment, or the new food I was eating, I don't know. But on Sunday morning I prayed that Connor would be calm for his baby blessing, and that is exactly what happened. He was crying crying crying right until Daniel started to pray, then Connor immediately calmed down. My dad saw Connor during the prayer and said that Connor was looking intently at Daniel :) Another sweet thing that happened was that while Daniel was praying, I could hear how much Daniel loves Connor. Daniel's voice started to quiver, and I know that Daniel wanted to bless Connor with the world. Daniel loves Connor so much! I love Connor so much, too, and am so happy to have such a wonderful new family!
Today is November 13th, Connor is two months old! I can't believe we have had him for so long!
